This purpose-built document management tool empowers pharmaceutical teams to create, collaborate, and ensure compliance with ease, ultimately accelerating the journey of vital information from concept to delivery.

The Challenge
I keenly observed the real-world journeys of users as they navigated existing tools, mapping their challenges and aspirations. My mission was crystal clear: to orchestrate a simplified process, a collaborative interface fueled by intuitive annotation, and a streamlined document approval experience that would empower users to achieve their goals effortlessly.

Outcome
A content creation tsunami: better automated tasks, tightened accuracy, accelerated approvals, secure data, and conquered market deadlines—all with 40% faster workflows.

Discovery
I dove deep into discovery sessions with the ePromo team, unearthing insights into user demographics, roles, and communication preferences. This laid the groundwork for an interface that speaks directly to each user type, unlocking a seamless and personalized experience.
Immersed in a world of FDA compliance, I worked with ePromo's diverse user landscape. Creative agencies, brand managers, project managers, and MLR reviewers—each with unique needs and expectations—converged within this digital hub. Yet, 90% of users found themselves entangled in a labyrinth of unintuitive features, their journeys stalled by a reliance on external support.

Persona's
By embracing this persona-driven approach, ePromo transcends a one-size-fits-all interface. It becomes a dynamic partner, empowering each user to navigate their unique journey with precision and ease.

User Journey
Mapping out the navigation
After soaking up insights from the discovery phase, I delved into the heart of ePromo's existing design. Analyzing builds and assets brought the user journey to life, revealing the path each persona took to accomplish specific tasks. My goal? To identify friction points and pave the way for a smoother, more intuitive experience.
I meticulously crafted user flows, visual representations of how each persona navigated the app. These maps, like the one here, became essential tools for pinpointing inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

Design System & Patterns
Estimates
Recognizing the need for early guidance, I took the initiative to generate initial estimates for each use case. This provided a critical starting point for discussions, even with the inherent uncertainty involved in such early planning.
While absolute accuracy was impossible at this stage, my estimates served as a valuable launchpad for further conversation, ensuring transparency and setting realistic expectations for development.

Feature Flow
With use cases in hand, I translated those narratives into visual blueprints. User flows, task flows, and sitemaps emerged, revealing the intricate network of decisions and actions users would navigate. These maps served as invaluable tools for:
Identifying potential bottlenecks: Anticipating where users might encounter confusion or frustration.
Prioritizing features: Ensuring the most essential tasks were effortlessly accessible.
Envisioning a seamless flow: Creating a natural and intuitive progression through the app.
Shared Vision, Enriched Design: The collaboration with product owners extended beyond mere documentation. Their insights shed light on the "why" behind each feature, ensuring the navigation aligned not only with user needs but also with business goals. Together, we iterated on designs, refining pathways and streamlining interactions.
