Performance Monitoring
Leveraging real-time analytics and comprehensive data visualization, I designed a performance monitoring solution offering proactive insights, ensuring tenants are always ahead of potential service disruptions.
The Challenge
Craft a user-centric product from the ground up, leveraging Lean UX principles and leveraging rich user data from actual tenants and VIP subscribers.
Empathy first
I immersed myself in user research, conducting in-depth interviews and collecting valuable feedback from tenants and VIPs. This established a deep understanding of their needs, pain points, and aspirations.
By rapidly prototyping and A/B testing I continually refined the design based on real-time user feedback, guaranteeing the final product resonated with their needs. Close collaboration with design systems and engineering teams ensured adherence to design principles and technical feasibility, streamlining development and fostering a culture of shared ownership. I also leveraged existing user data to inform key design decisions, leading to features and functionalities that directly addressed user needs and pain points. In short, through iteration, alignment, and data-driven decisions, I successfully created a product that truly resonated with its users.
Outcome
By embracing Lean UX and prioritizing user insights, we successfully delivered a V1 product that met the needs of both users and the business. It seamlessly integrated with the existing design system and paved the way for future iterations based on continuous feedback and learning.

Incident Cards
Actionable recommendations to guide your response, empowering you to restore order efficiently.
Like a dynamic newsfeed, key details refresh periodically, ensuring your view remains up-to-date and in sync with the evolving situation.
With a crystal-clear problem description, pinpointing the disruption's nature, paired with an intelligent impact estimation quantifying affected users, all anchored by a precise timestamp for rapid root cause analysis – this comprehensive information equips to swiftly diagnose and resolve the issue.
Adapt to your investigation
Seamlessly navigate through service disruptions with actions that adapt to your chosen status. "Under Investigation" lets you swiftly resolve issues by selecting "False Alarm" or "Service Restored," while "Service Restored" offers the flexibility to add details or move on, saving precious time and streamlining your workflow. Every click counts, making this a user-friendly experience for swift resolution and efficient action.
Key points
Incident Cards adapt to the evolving status of each incident, providing relevant options at every stage. Precise status updates ensure all stakeholders stay informed, promoting transparency and collaboration.
Advisories
Advisories that Empower Your Users.
Imagine a world where potential disruptions are no longer shrouded in mystery. Where users get a clear picture of active issues, their potential impact, and the path to resolution, all in real-time. Enter Advisories, your window into proactive communication and user empowerment.
Two-Pronged Approach
User Action Required: For tenant-specific issues like network outages, advisories clearly outline the necessary steps users need to take to restore full functionality. No more wondering, just a roadmap to resolution.
Microsoft at the Helm: When the issue lies on Microsoft's side, advisories inform users of the ongoing diagnostics and repair efforts. Transparency breeds trust, assuring your users that a dedicated team is working tirelessly to restore normalcy.
Benefits
Users are prepped for potential impact, allowing them to adjust their workflows and minimize productivity loss. Clear action steps and visibility into Microsoft's efforts guide users and admins towards a swifter resolution.
Duration
Colors hold meaning, interactions reveal insights, and metrics harmonize to unlock a deeper understanding of incident impact.
Dual Melodies: User count and duration of impact, each with its own vibrant line, weave together to reveal patterns and trends.
Colorful Narratives: Carefully chosen hues distinguish between metrics, guiding the eye to key insights and relationships.
Interactive Interludes: Hovering over data points unveils hidden details, allowing you to delve deeper into the story behind the numbers.
Curated Composition: A balance of metrics ensures clarity without overwhelming, ensuring focus on the most essential insights.
This line chart is more than a mere display of data; it's an invitation to explore, to question, and to unravel the complexities of impact.
Admin Notifications
Email: Classic and reliable, email notifications land effortlessly in your inbox, keeping you informed even on the go.
Phone Calls: For urgent situations, a direct phone call pierces through the digital noise, ensuring immediate attention.
SMS: Concise and impactful, SMS alerts bring critical updates right to your pocket, no matter where you are.
Define severity levels: Prioritize critical issues so urgent matters demand immediate attention.
Filter by tenant: Focus on specific tenants most vulnerable to potential disruptions.
Choose your channels: Blend email, phone, and SMS to create a notification group that matches your preferences.
Outlook Integration
Born from a close collaboration with the Outlook team, this feature translates actionable insights, right where you need them most.
The integration instantly flags crash scenarios, pinpointing the culprit behind the disruption. With proactive alerts and clear culprit identification, to maintain a smooth-running system, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Historic Timelines
Historical timeline concept, for our purposes this was one of the best ways to display chronological events in a neat and accurate style. It can be used to showcase important moments or tell a story using dates and other system data.
Where ideas take place
Prototypes feel real, and that's a valuable tool when figuring out your application flow, and interactions. The idea to make everything clickable and provide meaningful interaction is to gather user context and engineering insight.
